LE VIE DELL’OSPITALITA’, RIGENERARE I LUOGHI DELLA COMUNITA’, BERTINORO 2018 | Il nuovo centro di Fratta Terme tra interventi ed azioni di rigenerazione

Rigenerare vuol dire ridare vita ad un luogo attraverso interventi fisici, che correggano situazioni inefficienti o poco piacevoli, e azioni di rivitalizzazione capaci di promuovere resilienza e coesione sociale.

Nel caso di Fratta Terme le questioni spinose sono soprattutto due: l’assenza di un luogo deputato come “centro” nel quale la comunità possa riconoscersi e la presenza di numerosi spazi sfitti.

Lo spazio tra Piazza Colitto e via Loreta è oggi regolato solo dalle auto, siano esse in sosta o in transito. Il progetto vuole restituire più spazio pubblico possibile ai cittadini senza per questo limitare la mobilità. Inoltre, la realizzazione di percorsi e spazi più gradevoli e sicuri consentirà di rivitalizzare il cuore di Fratta Terme, di cui la piazza sarà il nuovo l’epicentro. Gli abitanti avranno un luogo dove ritrovarsi, sostare a chiacchierare d’estate e d’inverno, portare i bambini a giocare e i cani a sgambare, celebrare feste e partecipare ad eventi ricreativi.

Nel raggiungimento di questi obiettivi si è cercato di non perdere di vista alcune peculiarità del luogo. Un primo elemento è quello alla prospettiva ampia. Un secondo punto di forza è quello del paesaggio: la presenza di una collina a prato, anomala in ciò che comunemente intendiamo centro cittadino, consente invece di costruire un’interessante relazione con il paesaggio agrario circostante.

urban regeneration consists in revitaliSing places non only thanks to physical works of refurbishment aimed at correcting inefficient and unpleasant spaces, but also throught actions of animation able to promote resilience and social cohesion.

In the case of Fratta Terme there are two thorny problems: the first is the lack of a place recognized by inhabitants and tourists as the city center, the second is the presence of many vacant shops.

The space between Colitto Square and Loreta Street today is governed by parked cars and vehicles in transit. Aim of the project is to give back to citizens more public space with no limit to the mobility. Furthermore, new pleasant paths and spaces will allow to animate the core of the city, of which the Square will be the new epicenter. in this way People will have not only a new place to gather, stay and have a quiet chat, letting children play and dogs run, but also to party and share recreational public events.

Some significant local features Have not been lost of sight with the aim of reachIng this purpose. In particular, the broad perspective at the crossing, and the strong presence of the landscape. The existance of a grass hill, quite weird in a city center, allows instead to build an interesting link with the surrounding countryside.
